The Institute for Change Leaders is offering courses to young changemakers that teach participants the tools, principles, ethics and values of participatory democracy in order to acquire knowledge and skills to be involved, and leaders, in democratic processes.

We teach effective organizing skills to allow young participants to create the real, tangible change they wish to see in the world and within their communities.

The Institute for Change Leaders (ICL) equips people from all walks of life with leadership, storytelling, and organizing skills to win transformative progressive change. Using the proven model of legendary organizer Marshall Ganz—who pioneered his approach in the civil rights and United Farm Workers movements and notably in the 2008 Obama presidential campaign—ICL delivers hands-on education through three complementary streams: Leaders, Organizers, and Campaigns; Leadership Development; and Story-Telling and Public Narrative. The organization offers customizable, accessible training programs in various formats, serving individuals, organizations, and communities seeking to realize their capacity as change-makers and create lasting impact.
