Grassroots Development Initiatives Foundation-Kenya (GRADIF-K)
GRADIF-Kenya empowers young change-makers through skills training, mentorship, and strategic linkages. Their programs focus on human rights, governance, career development, entrepreneurship, sexual and reproductive health, mental wellbeing, digital safety, peacebuilding, and climate change resilience. By equipping youth with 21st-century skills and resources, GRADIF-Kenya promotes social, economic, and environmental empowerment for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Programs
Agriculture and Livelihoods
GRADIF-K supports smallholder farmers through various agricultural interventions, recognizing agriculture as the backbone of Kenya's economy. The program focuses on improving farming practices and livelihoods for rural communities.
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Basic Education
The program recognizes the importance of early childhood development and education for family, community, and national development. GRADIF-K implements ECCE programs and supports basic education initiatives.
Climate Change Adaptation
GRADIF-K undertakes environmental conservation and climate change interventions across various counties, working with collaborators to build community resilience and adaptation capacity.
Health (Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights)
The program focuses on adolescent and youth reproductive health rights, elimination of female genital mutilation (FGM), reducing school dropout rates, and increasing family planning uptake among youth and communities.
