Student Energy
Student Energy is a global youth-led organization empowering the next generation of leaders who are accelerating the transition to a sustainable, equitable energy future. We work with a network of 50,000 young people from over 120 countries to build the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to take action on energy through a variety of initiatives, including university-based Chapters, a digital Energy System Map, and the largest student-led energy conference in the world.
We also collaborate with governments, companies, and organizations to facilitate meaningful youth engagement and mobilize resources to support youth-led energy solutions.
Programs
International Student Energy Summit (SES)
The world's largest student-led conference on energy. Originally scheduled for 2025, now postponed to February 2026 in the Amazon region. Brings together students and young professionals for knowledge-sharing and networking on sustainable energy.
Guided Projects
Provides wage funding, training, and financial support for youth-led teams entering green jobs that advance sustainable energy. Teams design and deliver real-world solar projects in their communities with mentorship and funding support.
The Clean Economy Bridge Research Program
A joint initiative by Student Energy and adelphi to foster transatlantic climate policy cooperation among young leaders. Brings together a global cohort to shape climate policy and accelerate the clean energy transition across Canada, the U.S., and Germany.
Career Training Program: Women in Energy Africa
Focused on training women in energy across Africa. Provides support for women entering the energy sector with program summaries, partner information, and project details.
Chapters
University-based chapters across six continents that unite youth in sustainable energy. Students can start a chapter at their institution to build local energy communities.
Mentorship Program
Connects students with professional mentors in the energy sector. Open for professionals to join as mentors in 2025.
Green Jobs
Platform connecting youth with green job opportunities in the clean energy sector. Allows employers to post positions and youth to apply for roles.
Fellowship
Engagement program with multiple tiers of involvement for sustained participation in Student Energy's mission.
Research & Youth Engagement
Includes multiple research initiatives: Global Youth Energy Outlook, Energy Transition Skills Project, Youth Impact Framework, and reports on youth skills in the energy transition and net-zero policies.
