CAHED is a grassroots, youth led organization rooted in Homabay County, Kenya, working with marginalized communities to co-create inclusive climate, health, disability and gender justice solutions, while amplifying local voices to influence sustainable policy and systems change.

CAHED empowers changemakers by providing skills training, mentorship, small revolving grants and community labs to co-design climate health and gender equity solutions led by youth in underserved communities.

To date , CAHED has strengthened youth leadership by equipping young people to lead community climate actions, health awareness, and gender equity initiatives, reaching underserved communities and influencing local change.

Community Action for Health and Development (CAHED) is a Kenya-based community-led organization founded on the belief that sustainable change must come from within communities. CAHED partners closely with communities to identify pressing challenges and co-create solutions for transformative, sustainable, locally-led empowerment and development. The organization serves young women, adolescent girls, and young persons, working to build just societies where vulnerable populations enjoy full rights and live in dignity.
