Children all over the world are growing up without the care, protection and guidance they need.

SOS Children’s Villages is there, working with children, young people and families to tackle this global issue on a local level. We work to keep families together, provide alternative care when needed, support young people on their path to independence, and advocate for the rights of children. Together with donors, partners, communities and governments, we lay the foundations for a brighter future.

The Youth Power programme, launched in 2020, is part of our mission to enhance youth participation at all levels of our work. Youth Power is an international training programme to strengthen youth-led initiatives from different SOS programmes around the world that are addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Youth Power aims to create a space to facilitate an exchange of ideas and networking between different youth-led initiatives. They gain hands-on knowledge on how to build their initiatives to create a positive impact in their families, communities and beyond. The programme involves a week-long training, a virtual accelerator, spark funding and a mentorship programme, where young people are guided and supported to strengthen their youth-led initiatives.

About

SOS Children’s Villages

SOS Children's Villages is the largest non-governmental organisation focused on supporting children without parental care and families at risk.
